High Temperature Cast Platen Heaters
When semiconductor processes demand temperatures beyond the 450°C (842°F) limit of aluminum platen heaters, Durex offers a specialized high-temperature platen heater solution. These cast heaters are typically constructed from stainless steel, with alternative materials such as Nickel, Inconel®, or Copper available to meet specific application requirements.
Each unit is delivered as a single, precision-machined component. A custom groove is cut into the heater body based on the desired heat profile, and a mineral-insulated heating element is press-fit into the groove to ensure optimal thermal contact. This design maximizes heater life and ensures uniform surface temperatures. Vacuum brazing is also available for enhanced performance.
In addition to platen configurations, these high-temperature heaters can be manufactured as pedestals and welded to achieve vacuum-tight integrity.
