Drafting Designer

Status: Full Time

Durex Industries, a manufacturer of custom engineered heaters and temperature sensors for critical industries such as semiconductor, medical, military, and aerospace is seeking a drafting designer to join one of our product groups. The Drafting Designer supports design and manufacturing by drawing preliminary parts for review and revision control of existing drawings. The DE also prepares drawings of finished goods, bills of material, travelers for production, and inspection reports.  This position reports to the engineering manager and will have the opportunity to advance to product designer in the future.

Drafter Designer responsibilities include:

• Produce Solidworks drawings of assembly components.
• Review and prepare specifications & bills of materials
• Update drawings through Engineering Change Requests
• Maintain revision control for required changes
• Assist with preparation of job packets for manufacturing
• Contribute to additional efforts as required

• Associates degree or equivalent experience/certification
• Proficient in Solidworks and Draftsight or Autocad
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Program
• Experience with dimensioning and tolerance required
• 2+ year(s) of product design experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
• Team player with drive to continuous improvement mentality.
• Detail orientated and committed to excellence.
