Our Solution: Some of the harshest applications for tank heating are the processing, heat treating, finishing and cleaning of metal parts. A wide variety of acid, base, aqueous and non-aqueous solutions provide a host of material, wattage and heater configuration challenges. Sludge build up, suspended particulates and other contaminants further complicate the application of electric heaters. For this customer, we recommended a switch from 304SS to Incoloy and a reduction in watt density by ½ to significantly reduce the corrosion rate and premature element failure.

The Results:  Production dramatically improved and reduction in downtime recouped all investment costs many fold.
